I've decided to write a story about a magic printer in a boring library, where whatever you print out would come to life. If an avid writer were to write masterpieces of dragons and warriors, it would wreak havoc on any unsuspecting librarians within the library! I should probably start with a story plot...
Who --> (main character) teenager; avid writer; social outcast; creative/resourceful
What --> (printer) magic; brings literature to life
Where --> (place) a nowhere town; boring; "gray" and dull; library
When --> (time) the present time
Why --> BECAUSE I CAN!!!
I could do with some advice. =)

xD Gotta love those social outcasts. They always make the best main characters.

I think the idea sounds really awesome. It kind of reminds me of that one Goosbumbs episode where the main character picked up a Typewriter for a class, and whatever he wrote ended up happening.
Something that kind of bugs me is when magic is used as cement to patch up unexplained things. ( I have my personal reasons for that one. xD ) Are you planning on explaining how the printer ended up becoming magical, or is it just kind of there?
well, its a short story, so i didnt plan on explain it's magical origin.... but if it helps the story, i'll do it...
ReplyDeleteActually, now that I think about it, I don't think it would really add to the story. It would probably end up taking away from it, since it's a short story.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, that was just me being OCD. D: I go through phases like that sometimes, please forgive me. xD
