Tiny People

I have had a series of reoccuring dreams of a race of people who are 3 to 5 inches tall. I ask myself, I said, "Self, why do you continue having these dreams?", so I started thinking. The storyline is already set. The characters all have names and jobs. And I have my bad guy, or, rather bad guys.

I was an important little guy named Zadik, and I had a very important job. Zadik was a scaler. His job was to climb up the walls of houses and buildings to look out for the rest of the group. Now, Zadik wasn't alone. His younger brother, Nadin, and his Uncle Bezzle were scalers too. They lived in the same hut, which was a "borrowed" baseball cap, with their Aunt Kaz and cousin Zim.

The area in which his clan lived was a mattress depot. There was plenty of surface area to roam, and the area didn't contain a cat, which would have devistated Uncle Bezzle's rat ranch. Uncle Bezzle was known as the clan's breeder. (They used rats as we use horse and cattle.) The only normal human they had in contact with was the son of the depot's owner. 19-year-old Brad Lemons was a quiet individual. He had no friends, so when this social outcast discovered these tiny people, he was eager to befriend them. Brad supplies Uncle Bezzle's rats with food, and when he can, Brad likes to watch Uncle Bezzle and Zim break the new rats in.

However, there are some men out in this world who see these little people as a threat to government balance. The Externments, a group of government agents, hunt down the clans and destroy them. It's a government district that, for most, "never exsists".

So, now that you know the basics of my first dream, I think I'm going to write this down. Enjoy it next time!

NEW STORY IDEA

I've decided to write a story about a magic printer in a boring library, where whatever you print out would come to life. If an avid writer were to write masterpieces of dragons and warriors, it would wreak havoc on any unsuspecting librarians within the library! I should probably start with a story plot...

Who --> (main character) teenager; avid writer; social outcast; creative/resourceful

What --> (printer) magic; brings literature to life

Where --> (place) a nowhere town; boring; "gray" and dull; library

When --> (time) the present time

Why --> BECAUSE I CAN!!!

I could do with some advice. =)

"Food" for Thought

Forgive me Hudak, for I have sinned. It's been 2 days since my last blog, and I have committed the sins of laziness and computer failure. Please, forgive me.

Alright, enough of that silliness. On to some good stuff. So, have you ever had a vivid dream of food, just to wake up hungry and not have that food? I'm in this situation right now. And, I thought to myself, I said "Self, how practical would it be to have a machine that could teleport real food into your dream so you could wake up and not be hungry and disappointed?" However, there are some major drawbacks to such an idea, such as obesity. I'm as thin as a twig, so I couldn't care less, but I know people would be mean and say stuff about it to me. I don't want to deal with them. On the plus side, world hunger would be seriously reduced. Even if poor countries can't afford the machines, our food industries would have to sell to someone. Why not sell food to Africa? Although, the prices may need to come down a bit... Sound like a good story idea?

Well, last night I had a dream of some sort of zombie invasion. And I thought to myself, I said, "Self, this is the makings of a good story." So, allow me to set the scene. Sit back and enjoy! =)

Imagine The Matrix only the sinister future holds a more gruesome outcome. An obvious leader stands in the middle of a crescent shaped group of ill fated, scared men and women. This leader, a woman, declares that this is the final stand the human race has before the zombie hordes ruin everything...
Behind her is their champion, the Neo of the human race if you will. He has the typical look; Sun glasses, tattered leather jacket, and a blank expression. (Yes, as corny as this sounds, that's me in this dream.) He doesn't seem scared of death, nor does he seem to feel any compassion for his team. Typical bad ass.
"Let's go team!" Says the leader, "And good luck." But before everyone leaves, the champion says his one and only epic line; "Today humanity dies. There is no life after this."
Then there's the epic fight scene, and people die, and zombies eat, and the world goes 'round. It's still a work in progress, so we'll see where this takes me. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I'm going to make this into a piece I can have assessed by my peers (aka, you). Comments would be nice, just saying. Thanks!
